The Wooden Eagle
How The Eagles Are Made
All Our Products Are Made By Hand.
The Carvers do not use any stains, dyes or color them in any way.
- A wood carver begins a new carving by selecting a chunk of wood
the approximate size and shape of the figure he or she wishes to create.
Hardwoods are more difficult to shape but have greater luster and longevity.
The type of wood is very important.
- Then the carver begins a general shaping process.
Using a chainsaw, gouges of various sizes, a chisel and mallet.
- The carver then uses a variety of chisels for creating details.
- The wood carver then finishes the surface.
